List and explain the steps of the engineering design process
The first step of the engineering design process is to first identify the problem. Then, the second step is to research the problem. Which pretty much means to use the internet, other people, or prior knowledge to find new stuff out. The third step is to develop a solution. Usually you would come up with more then one that would follow your research. Then you have to select the one that you think works best and build a prototype for it. Next, is to test and evaluate the prototype. If it doesn't work then you have to figure out more solution's for the problem. Then the last step is to resign your prototype, but this step can be avoided if your prototype had worked the way you wanted it to the first time.
1.
This first program makes motors A and B move forward for 2 seconds then makes them come to stop by braking. Then motors A and B will start up again and then motor C will turn on for a certain amount of time.
2.
The robot will travel 4 inches. It will travel this far since the diameter of the wheel is 2 inches and it moves 720 degrees. This means it will make 2 full rotations making it move a total of 4 inches.
3.
This program is the same as our program for the line bot. It uses the light sensor to see the black line and to stay on it. Then when the light sensor is moved off the black line it moves backwards so it can find the line and continue to follow it.
4.
This is the same program we used for the hearing test. Every time the touch sensor is hit there will 2000hz added to the frequency. It will keep going up until it hits it maximum at about 14000hz.
